It’s crunch time in girls high school hockey as teams will compete for one more week in anticipation of section playoffs.

In Class AA Minnetonka still reigns supreme at No. 1 with a 20-2-1 record and impressive wins over Hill-Murray, Eden Prairie and Edina in the past two weeks.

The Pioneers are one of just two teams to defeat the Skippers and come in at No. 2. Edina makes a jump form No. 6 to No. 3 with their recent win over Andover, who slipped to No. 4.

Northfield remained perfect at 23-0-0, but fell a spot after Edina made the jump into the top five.

Benilde-St. Margaret’s has been the mark of consistency and are 17-3-1 and come in at No. 6.

Centennial/Spring Lake Park still has just one loss and is ranked No. 8. Moorhead, with a strong senior crew continues to play very well and is ranked No. 9 and Lakeville South also has just one loss and maintains their spot at No. 10.

With the regular season winding down and section playoffs on the horizon, these records and rankings won’t mean much of anything as each team will start the playoffs with a clean slate. Only eight teams will win three playoff games to advance to the state tournament. Only one will win the next three and be crowned 2024 State High School champion.

Who will it be?
