Class A field up for grabs as section playoffs loom

Academy of Holy angels and Orono maintained the top two spots in Class A girls rankings while Dodge County jumped to No. 3 and Proctor/Hermantown to No. 4. Duluth Marshall fell to No. 6 after a loss to Moose Lake Area Monday. Moose Lake Area jumped three spots to No. 16 as Section 7A continues to be the most intriguing section in Class A along with Section 5A.

In Section 5A Orono is the front runner for the top seed, but Mound Westonka/Southwest Christian and Breck are formidable foes along with Pine City Area and Delano/Rockford.

There is plenty of parity in Class A this season, which should make for a great rest for the regular season and an enthralling and unpredictable section playoff.
