Andover’s 5-0 win over Benilde-St. Margaret’s handed the Red Knights their first loss of the season. In what appears to be a strong group of Class AA teams, Hill-Murray still stands above the rest at 10-0-0. Centennial/Spring Lake Park not only defeated Maple Grove 4-1, they outshot them 37-31. The Cougars jumped to No. 8 in this week’s poll and Maple Grove fell to No. 9. Northfield remains undefeated at 11-0-0 and sits at No. 6, up a spot form last week. Moorhead, Centennial and Maple Grove were all very close in the rankings with just a couple votes separating each. chances are teams 6-10 will continue to play musical chairs throughout the season, with any of them capable of cracking the top five.
Lakeville North and Lakeville South batted last week to a 1-1 tie as North remained in the top 10 at No. 10. There was some juggling in teams 11-20, with Stillwater pushed out of the Top 10, but no doubt a team to be reckoned with. Roseau pops back in at No. 20 after a win over formerly No. 20 Brainerd/Little Falls.
