Jayson Shaugabay is off to a raucous start to his collegiate career. The 2023 Mr. Hockey winner spent last season with Green Bay of the United States Hockey League where he had 19 goals and 42 assists in 70 games. Since joining the Bulldogs he has averaged a point per game and this past weekend had a goal and two assists in the Bulldogs sweep of Miami (Ohio). Shaugabay had 96 points as a senior at Warroad, leading them toback-to-back state tournaments where he was named to the all-tournament team both years. At 5-10, 175 pounds, Shaugabay relies on quickness and high hockey IQ. According to the Elite Prospects 2023 draft guide: “The primary way that Shaugabay creates advantages is through his playmaking and handling blend.
