Not only did Mike Randolph join elite company with his 700th win last week, his St. Thomas Academy Cadets also joined elite company by cracking the top 5 in the Let’s Play Hockey Rankings presented by Tradition Companies.
The Cadets have now won seven straight to climb to No. 4 in the rankings. Those wins have included wins over No. 5 Edina and No. 6 Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
The Cadets are allowing just two goals per game and have outscored opponents 51-28. Jimmy Zavoral leads the team with 12 goals and Will Dosan leads the team with 20 points.
The Cadets win over Benilde-St. Margaret’s bumped the Red Knights out of the top 5, but they have proven to be a tough team to beat. Edina maintains the No. 5 spot with wins over Lakeville South and Holy Family.
Chanhassen stayed at No. 3 with a pair of wins where they outscored Delano and Duluth East 14-0. Wayzata and Minnetonka remained undefeated and remain a notch above the rest of the pack having held steady in those spots for most of the season.
